Walt Disney has finalised a $52.4 billion deal to buy Robert Murdoch's entertainment empire '20th century fox', the blockbuster Union of Hollywood.
The huge deal, which Disney announced on Thursday morning also includes Fox's Film and Television Studios, as well as its 39 % stake in satellite broadcaster Sky.
The purchase extends Disney's global reach adding media company Star India and adding Fox's interest in Sky Plc and Tata Sky in its portfolio.
Fox will form a news focuses company with its remaining assets including Fox news channel, Fox Business Network, Fox Broadcasting Company.
