UNICEF, the United Nations Children Agency on last day warned that nearly 80,000 children will starve to death in Nigeria in 2017 if they don't get treatment in the crisis created by Boko Haram that has killed more than 20,000 people and left over two million displaced.
Anthony Lake, UNICEF Executive Director also warned that the crisis can become a catastrophe if the situation continues. Meanwhile, the Associate Press have reported since September that children are already dying of starvation in Maiduguri, the biggest city in Nigeria.
